For 1 month, I had the extraordinary opportunity to travel as a solo female across Kenya. This is a story of pivoting plans, ticking off bucket list items, and some self discovery.

 

My 2-year anniversary has come and gone. Today I'm sharing some deeper life lessons that living abroad has taught me, and I also encourage you to take your own big leap in whatever you're working towards.

 

The lockdown in Spain happened fast. So fast, that we didn’t have the luxury of social distancing. This is my experience of what it's been like to live through the COVID19 Pandemic in Spain.

 

After 6 months of being back in Spain, I have to go back to Canada for a week for a work trip - and I have mixed feelings. I also share what it was like to spend my first Christmas (ever in my life) away from my Mom - spoiler alert: it wasn't easy.

I’ve become fully legal in the city by obtaining my NIE , registering for my Empadronamiento, opened a bank account, signed up for health and apartment insurance, and secured my apartment in the neighborhood I wanted. It was a productive first month. Now, let’s fast-forward about 3 - 4 months into my move.
